An Ukrainian athlete Andrei Kucherenko made a proposal to his girlfriend immediately after the decisive fight at the World Sambo Championship in Bucharest, the Gazeta.Ru correspondent reports.
The athlete won silver, losing to Russian Kamil Abdulazizov in the final in combat sambo in the weight category up to 62 kg. After the end of the fight the Ukrainian asked for a microphone.
“The World Championship ended for me not quite well, because I could not win gold. Nevertheless, today I want to make something special for my girlfriend. Honey, go to the carpet, we have known each other for a long time, I love you and I want to marry you and live together. Vika, will you marry me? ” said Kucherenko in russian and handed the girl a ring. She accepted without any hesitation.
