Today the European Youth and Junior SAMBO Championship has started in Spyros Kyprianou Sports Center Limassol Polemidia.
The continental championship has gathered together 21 participating countries in Cyprus! More than 260 athletes will be competing for the winner’s title, representing Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Georgia, Ireland, Israel, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Macedonia, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, France and Estonia.
12 sets of medals will be played on the first competition day in the following weight categories: 48, 60, 75 kg (Youth, M); 40, 52, 65 kg (Youth, W); 48, 62, 82 kg (Junior, M); 44, 56, 68 kg (Juniors, W).
