Another one Matt, another one World Bronze... 23 years later

Matt Clempner won a bronze 100 kilo plus in the World Sambo Championships here in Minsk. He beat the Frenchman David Heran on an armlock, next was a Latvian Aleksandrs Mastrjakovs who he arm locked in under 30 seconds. He lost by 4 points a Greek player Vasileios Iliadis one of the famous greek fighting family he then had a play off against the Uzbekian Farkhod Akhmadiev who he scored 10 points with throws and to make sure in the dying seconds he arm locked him.

Matt dad Matthew Clempner won World bronze in the same weight in 1989.
