Sergey Eliseev took part in celebration of 50th Anniversary of Sambo in Armavir (RUS)

On December, 7th — 9th Sambo International tournament in prizes of Ashot Markarian, Deserved master of sport, held in Armavir (Russia). This year tournament was dedicated to the 50th Anniversary of Sambo in Armavir.

Honorary guests, veterans of Armavir Sambo took part on the celebration and sport event. Also Sergey Eliseev, President of European and All-Russia Sambo federations, took part on this celebration. He gave thanksgiving letters to Avdey Kastanov, one of the first Sambo masters of sport on Kuban region, founder of Armavir Sambo school, Andrey Kharchenko, The Head of city administration, Leonid Prokudin, representing of pioner group of sambo-coaches in Armavir, Rudolf Baboyan, the President of Krasnodar region Sambo and Judo federation, Ashot Markarian, the Vice-President of region Sambo and Judo federation.

72 sportsmen representing 7 countries (Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Tadjikistan, Ukraine and Russia) took part in the tournament. Competitions held on four weight categories: up to 57 kg, up to 62 kg, up to 68 kg, up to 90 kg.
