At the opening ceremony of the tournament Volodymir Protopopov, the deserved coach of Ukraine, one of the founders of sambo in Sevastopol, was awarded an honorary diploma for outstanding achievements in development and popularisation of sambo. Vadym Rogach, Vice-president of Ukrainian Sambo Federation handed the diploma to Protopopov.
As a result of the competitions during two days on three mats Kiev sambists won the first place on the team classification. Sportsmen from Autonomous Republic of Crimea got the second place, and sambo players from Khar’kov region rated on the third place.
