350 sportsmen from 19 regions of the country took part in the Ukrainian Sport and Combat Sambo Championships held in the city of Nikolaev from March 12 till March 14. Eleven deserved masters of sport, five masters of sport international class and 107 masters of sport were represented as a participants of the tournament.
In the personal competitions first places and the titles of the champions won:
among women — Olga Shevchenko (up to 44 kg, Nikolaev), Olena Kunitskaya (up to 48 kg, Ivano-Frankovsk), Maria Ostapyuk (up to 52 kg, Ivano-Frankovsk/L’viv), Olesya Savchuk (up to 56 kg, Kiev region), Olena Sayko (up to 60 kg, Ivano-Frankovsk/L’viv), Nadya Gerasimenko (up to 64 kg, Kiev region), Nadya Pokora (up to 68 kg, L’viv region), Tetiana Savenko (up to 72 kg, Dnipropetrovsk), Alina Gizay (up to 80 kg, Lugansk), Tetiana Glibko (over 80 kg, Ivano-Frankovsk);
among men — Vladyslav Bakun (up to 48 kg, Vinnitsa), Euhen Olshanskyi (up to 52 kg, Dnipropetrovsk), Myhailo Ilitchuk (up to 57 kg, Ivano-Frankovsk), Mykyta Voityuk (up to 62 kg, AR Crimea), Kyrylo Melnichenko (up to 68 kg, Nikolaev), Dmytro Babyichuk (up to 74 kg, L’viv), Viktor Savinov (up to 82 kg, Kharkiv), Ivan Vasylchuk (up to 90 kg, Nikolaev), Myhailo Cherkasov (up to 100 kg, Kharkiv), Oleksandr Gordienko (over 100 kg, Odessa);
on the combat sambo tounament — Andryi Bilyk (up to 48 kg, Kiev), Dmytro Odinokyi (up to 52 kg, Kiev), Serhyi Chornyi (up to 57 kg, Kiev), Igor Severin (up to 62 kg, Kiev), Vadym Zelenyuk (up to 68 kg, Kiev), Rustam Saidalyiev (up to 74 kg, AR Crimea), Oleksandr Turovskyi (up to 82 kg, AR Crimea), Oleksandr Kolomyets (up to 90 kg, Kiev), Igor Zadernovskyi (up to 100 kg, AR Crimea), Volodymir Zhikh (over 100 kg, AR Crimea).
The squad of the city of Kiev took the first place on the team competitions with 1620 points. The team of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea is on the second place (1220 pts), and the Nikolaev region team is on the third (800 pts).
