The World Sambo Championship will be held from 9 to 11 November in Bucharest at the Sala Polivalenta Sports Palace (Bucharest, 040401, 10 Aleea Pisculuistr.). Entrance for spectators is free!
According to the ancient historian Strabo, the Dacians, the ancestors of modern Romanians, initially called themselves Daoi, which literally means “wolf.” This animal was an important symbol for an ancient tribe and often was also depicted on their banners.
No wonder that the gray wolf became the mascot of the Sambo World Championship 2018!
