Today, on the day of the delegation’s arrival 238 athletes from 29 European countries arrived in the European Sambo Championship in Gijon (Spain) : Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Hungary, Holland, Germany, Greece, Georgia, Israel, Spain, Ireland, Italy, Cyprus , Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Macedonia, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine, France, Croatia, Estonia.
Tomorrow starts the first day of competition. Athletes will compete in the following weight categories: 48 kg, 60 kg, 72 kg (Women), 52 kg, 68 kg, 90 kg (Men), 57 kg, 74 kg, 100 kg (Combat Sambo).
At 10:00 the preliminary bouts will begin and after that then the semifinals will start. There will be a a break for lunch. From 18:00 begins the evening of the competition, followed by the opening and the final bout for first place. Watch online broadcast on our website!
