On August 6 and 7 in Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod region, Russia an international sambo training camp was held. The camp is traditional because for many years after the sambo tournament “Burdikov Memorial” sambo wrestlers from different countries stay to train with the best athletes and improve their technique.
"We are very happy with the number of athletes attending the training camp. We had four full training sessions. We had 260 athletes on the mat: men, women, juniors. We would like to thank the sambo team from Belarus, which was made up of 35 athletes. I would also like to thank the Tajik team which was a small group but still came to us. — Dmitry Troshkin, head coach of the Russian sambo team, added.
