Host countries for major international competitions in 2023 have been determined

Egypt will host the World Sambo Championship in 2023. The strongest sambo wrestlers of the planet will compete in this country on November 10-12. The corresponding decision was taken by the members of the Executive Committee of the International Sambo Federation. The Dominican Republic, in its turn, will host the World Beach Sambo Championship in August. Also decisions were made as regards time and venues of a number of other competitions.

According to the draft international calendar, the Asian and Oceanian Championship in beach sambo will start the year, which will be held in Bahrain in February.

The next continental tournament will be European Sambo Championship and Youth Sambo Championship. The competition will be held during 5 days in April in Israel in several age categories: cadets, juniors and youth as well as adults: men, women and combat sambo.

Then it is turn to African sambo wrestlers to determine the strongest ones on their continent. Morocco will host the African Sambo Championship in May 2023.

In June, the Sambo Championship of Asia and Oceania will take place. The venue for the tournament will be Kazakhstan.

The Dominican Republic will finish the series of the continental championships. That country will host the Pan-American Sambo Championship in August.

Three World Sambo Cups are planned to be held in 2023. They will be held in the Dominican Republic, Kyrgyzstan and Serbia. There will also be a number of Continental Cups and international tournaments in different countries throughout the year.
