The World Sambo Championship will be held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan from November 10 to 14.
The strongest sambo wrestlers from all over the world will meet again on the mat to find out who is the best. The main start of the season for the first time will be held in Kyrgyzstan. This will be the 47th World Sambo Championship.
The competition will be held in the following weight categories:
Men: 58 kg, 64 kg, 71 kg, 79 kg, 88 kg, 98 kg, +98 kg.
Women: 50 kg, 54 kg, 59 kg, 65 kg, 72 kg, 80 kg, +80 kg.
Combat sambo: 58 kg, 64 kg, 71 kg, 79 kg, 88 kg, 98 kg, +98 kg.
Rules of the World Championships:
November 11 — women: 50 kg, 54 kg, 59 kg; men: 58 kg, 64 kg; combat: 79 kg, 98 kg.
November 12 — women: 65 kg, 72 kg; men: 71 kg, 88 kg, +98 kg; combat: 58 kg, 64 kg.
November 13 — women: 80 kg, +80 kg; men: 79 kg, 98 kg; combat: 71 kg, 88 kg, +98 kg.
Every day fights will start at 10:00 local time. On November 11, there will be an opening ceremony at 16:30. Final fights and awards will be from 18:00.
