In October, before the main world start for all sambo wrestlers, the British Sambo Federation organized an Open Sambo Tournament. Boys (16-18 years old), adults (18 and up) and two ages of masters (35+, 45+) took part in the tournament.
124 sambo wrestlers representing 19 clubs of Great Britain took part in the tournament. Spitfire took the first place in team classification with representatives of the club winning 3 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze medals. Second place was taken by Warriors Grappling Academy club, and third by Black Spider.
