International “Grand Prix” Sambo competition will be held on the main arena of Krasnodar “Basket Hall”. The tournament in the new format will start on June 24. Over 100 strongest athletes from Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan will take part in it.
Medals will be up for grabs in seven weight categories in Sports Sambo and Combat Sambo among men:
— Sports Sambo — 58kg, 64kg, 71kg, 79kg, 88kg, 98kg, 98+kg;
— Combat Sambo — 58 kg, 64 kg, 71 kg, 79 kg, 88 kg, 98 kg, 98 kg.
Preliminary rounds will be held on June 24 at 10:00 am on two mats. The opening ceremony will take place at 17:00, followed by finals and awarding.
The prize fund is:
1 place 300 000 rubles.
2 place 200 000 rubles.
3 place 50 000 rubles.
