On September 28, the International Sambo Tournament “Cup of the President of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia Gagik Tsarukyan” will be held in Yerevan. This tournament will be held for the second time. Sambo wrestlers will win not only medals, but also the prize fund of the tournament.
The competitions will be held in 7 weight categories in sport sambo among men and in 2 weight categories in sport sambo among women. The total prize fund of the tournament will amount to 189 000 USD.
Medals will be drawn in the following weight categories:
Men: 58 kg, 64 kg, 71 kg, 79 kg, 88 kg, 98 kg, +98 kg.
Women: 50 kg, 54 kg.
The composition of the participants will be formed by individual invitation from the tournament organizing committee. No more than 8 athletes can take part in one weight category.
The winners of the Cup of the President of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia Gagik Tsarukyan will win the prize money:
1st place — 10.000 USD
2nd place — 5.000 USD
3rd place (two medalists) — 3.000 USD
