From June 27 to 29, 2025, the third International Ivan Doktorov Sambo Tournament will be held in the city of Sofia, at the Sofia Hall. Young athletes (cadets and female cadets) from 14 countries will take part in the competition.
The tournament is organized with the purpose of:
— Supporting the development of sambo among youth;
— Facilitating international sports exchange;
— Honoring the memory of the outstanding Bulgarian sambo wrestler Ivan Doktorov.
The tournament is of charitable nature — participation is free of charge. The event was made possible thanks to the support of the sports community and volunteers.
The tournament program includes:
— Grand opening;
— Preliminary and final bouts;
— Awarding ceremony.
We invite all sports fans, media representatives and city residents to support young talents in the world of sambo!
