At a remote meeting of the Executive Committee of the European Sambo Federation, a draft competition calendar for 2026 was approved.
The calendar was compiled in accordance with the latest approved project for the development and work of the European Sambo Federation. This project was adopted at the EFS Congress held as part of the 2025 European Sambo Championships and Junior Championships in Limassol, Republic of Cyprus.
Some of the points adopted at the congress:
1. Division of tournaments into several levels.
2. Return to separate European Championships and Junior Championships in 2026.
3. Introduction of a rating system.
