
The Balkan Sambo Championship 2025, held from 14–16 November 2025 in Panagyurishte, became a true double celebration.
In addition to gathering 227 athletes from Moldova, Greece, North Macedonia and Bulgaria, the championship coincided with the International Sambo Day, adding even more symbolism, emotion and energy.

Inside Arena Asarel, the competitions unfolded in an atmosphere of sportsmanship, dynamism and friendship. Athletes demonstrated strong preparation and progress, while spectators enjoyed many dynamic and emotional bouts.

The Balkans United Through Sambo for the Fourth Consecutive Year. The Balkan Championship has now been held for four consecutive years in different Balkan countries, showing the stability and growth of regional cooperation.
The Bulgarian Sambo Federation — The Driving Force of the Championship. The event was organized thanks to the excellent cooperation between the Balkan Sambo Association (BSA) and the Bulgarian Sambo Federation, led by its president Rosen Dimitrov.

Perfect coordination, professionalism and attention to detail made the championship an example of impeccable organization.
Atmosphere, Energy and Strong Performances. From the very first matches, the competition was filled with intensity, technique and determination. Bulgaria topped the team ranking, followed by Moldova and Greece.

Strong Presence of the “Sport Sambo for Development” Program. The children from the SOP “Sport Sambo for Development” program, trained by Emil Neshev, showed confidence, significant progress and strong potential. Their success proved that investment in youth is the key to the future.

The championship demonstrated unity, tradition and the shared Balkan spirit. The next edition will be hosted by Chisinau, Moldova in 2026. Conclusion — A Celebration of Sambo and Warm Wishes. Panagyurishte confirmed its reputation as a host of top-level sport. Participants left Bulgaria with gratitude and satisfaction.
