For Latvia, this is a prestigious opportunity to gain status as a country with a rich martial arts tradition. Hosting the EU Cup promotes sambo within the country and fosters international ties within the European Union.
“We are delighted to welcome sambists to Riga. I am confident that the upcoming tournament will be remembered by spectators for its exciting fights, uncompromising combat, and the atmosphere of a true sporting festival,” noted the competition’s organizing committee.
The Cup will feature medals in two key disciplines:

The competition is scheduled for September 12 and 13.
